On 5-22-15 Pet Samaritan Fund pulled a female cat and her kitten from the Spanish Fork Shelter. The kids in the foster home named the mom Abigale, and the adorable kitten Sven. Abigale was sick when we got her, and her condition worsened. We took her to the vet (5/25/15), after finding a tape worm. She still wasn't eating, and then started to throw up, and the same was happening with her baby. We took them both to the vet on Saturday (5/30/15), and they received some treatment. The next day there was no change, and sadly her baby passed away that evening. We are unsure why? He may have picked up distemper at the shelter or he could have had parasites as well. Her condition was worsening so we took her to another vet on Monday (6/1/15), they gave her a different antibiotic, however she could not keep food or medicine down, so we decided to have her hospitalized at Midvalley Animal Clinic. She spent 2 nights there getting fluids and medicine. So far she is doing better! If she continues to improve she will be spayed on 6/17/15, and will need a loving home. She has been through SO much being sick and losing her baby.
